Verizon Offers Prepaid 3G Plans with Unlimited Talk & Text

Verizon hasn’t had a cost-effective prepaid plan for smartphones and today doesn’t change anything. Verizon will now offer 3G service at 500MB for $60 and 2GB for $70 a month – both of which include unlimited talk and texting. One thing that they’ve finally defined is the ability to use an existing Verizon phone, such as one from a contract, on prepaid with the same plan.

Compared to what the multitude of other prepaid carriers offer for $50, these plans don’t bring much to the table.
