Swype on the iPhone? You better pick this keyboard app up
I’ve been using Swype since I got my first Android phone back in late 2011. Using Swype the first time was strange, to say the least. I was comfortable typing on touchscreen keyboards, but I couldn’t quite get the idea of tracing through the letters that form the words that you want typed out. However, after using it for a few days, there was no way I would ever go back to a single letter keyboard on a smartphone again.
Now, with Apple finally opening up to allowing the user to customize their phone experience, in both size and configuration, they have allowed custom keyboards for the iPhone and iPad devices. All you need to do to customize your keyboard is updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 8. With that, Nuance Communications has released Swype for all iOS 8 devices for only $.99.
