New Gigabyte Motherboard to Feature Onboard Hybrid SSD
Gigabyte is releasing a new Z68 Motherboard with a 20GB Hybrid SSD onboard in a few weeks. The 20GB SSD caches blocks of data most-commonly used on the computer in order to speed up access time and increase performance – similar to how the Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid did last year. Other Gigabyte Z68 motherboards will be released with this new Intel Smart Response Technology – which is said to offer over double the performance of current hybrid drive systems.

What is really interesting here is they are using a miniPCIe slot on the motherboard for this SSD. They've had miniPCIe SSDs for a while, so there will definitely be some nice hacks for this.
