Microsoft Working on Browser-based Skype

It looks like Microsoft is finally going to start working with Skype. The past few days, Microsoft has been posting positions for the Skype division, describing HTML5 UI and browser-specific experience as requirements. Skype has already worked on an integration with Facebook several months back, so it’s no surprise that they’d be working on a web-based platform. Plus, HTML5 would mean it could run on X86 and ARM platforms without needing to be reprogrammed, so it could lead to a Windows 8 app.
