iOS 6 Supports Larger Display – 4-inch iPhone 5

The guys over at 9-to-5 Mac found some further proof to the speculation of the new iPhone resolution. The new iOS 6 developer version now supports a scaling display – in other words, when the resolution changes, additional rows and columns of icons can be added.

9-to-5 Mac adjusted the software simulator to 640 x 1136, which is the supposed resolution of the 4″ iPhone 5, and got some screenshots showing 5 rows instead of 4 rows rendered:
