Google Chromebook Pixel Now for Sale

A few weeks back, an ultra-high resolution touchscreen Chromebook  leaked out on tech sites accompanied by a video advertisement that appeared to be official. Now, it appears that the rumored Chromebook is real and Google is already selling them.

Google’s new device is called the Chromebook Pixel, and it features a 12.85″ 2560 x 1700 pixel Gorilla Glass multi-touch display. The Chromebook Pixel is targeted towards consumers who want a small, lightweight laptop with premium parts and construction. It looks very similar to Apple’s Macbook Air and that’s the type of audience Google is hoping the Pixel will attract.

If you watch the videos Google has out for the Chromebook Pixel, it’s presented as easy to use, fast, and sophisticated down to every detail.

Here’s the new commercial for the Google Chromebook Pixel:

The Chromebook Pixel currently comes in two model variants: the 32GB model with WiFi only and the 64GB LTE model. Both devices come with solid state drives and a Terabyte of cloud storage.

The wifi version of Chromebook Pixel is currently for sale on the Google Play Store, and the LTE version will be shipping in 6-7 weeks.
