Chinese Company Buys AMC 2.6B, Largest US Acquisition
AMC Theaters was just purchased for 2.6 billion dollars by the Chinese company Dalian Wanda Group, the largest US acquisition to date. The acquisition was announced earlier today, which is to also include 500 million dollars of investments to further the growth of AMC Theaters. Dalian Wanda Group has 31 billion dollars in assets and owns commercial properties, luxury hotels, retail stores, as well as almost a thousand theaters.
