Amazon Prime Day 2018 is Here!
The fourth annual Amazon Prime Day is finally here! Starting at 3pm EST, Prime members will be able to order all manners of things at discounted pricing. As usual, all of Amazon’s products, such as the Echos and Kindles, are getting price reductions and are being bundled together. For the next day and a half, discounted electronics, jewellery, clothing, toys, gadgets, and anything else you can think of will be up for grabs.
Some things to keep in mind:
Not everything is going to be worth it.
Just because you see a deal on Prime Day does not mean you should buy it without research. Do a bit of Googling to make sure it’s worth picking up. Old models and no-name junk are bound to crop up, just like they do on Black Friday. I suggest looking up items you are interested in and add them to your wish list prior to the Prime Day sale, that way you have an idea what you want and if it’s being discounted enough. Plus, Amazon will show you if a price drops on an item on your wishlist!
Don’t have Prime? Get 30 Days Free
If you’re an Amazon lurker and don’t have a Prime account, you still have time to get a free trial. There are also subscription discounts for Students and anyone on a qualifying government program. If you decide not to keep Prime after the trial, they make it easy to cancel, letting you post date it to the end. I’ve had Prime for 9 years this September, so it’s worked exceedingly well for me.
